Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 July 2026

Brighthaven Digital Ltd wants everyone to be able to use brighthaven-digital.com, regardless of ability or the technology they use. This statement explains the standard we work to, what we have done, where we fall short and how to tell us about a problem.

1. Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test against that standard whenever we make substantial changes to the site and at least once a year.

2. What we have done

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, headings in a logical order and a single main heading per page.
  • Text and interface colour combinations checked for a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
  • Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Form fields with persistent visible labels, programmatic associations and native validation messages.
  • Decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology; meaningful graphics given text alternatives.
  • Layouts that reflow to a single column at 320 CSS pixels wide without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
  • Full support for browser text resizing to 200% and for user-defined font sizes.
  • Animation and parallax effects disabled automatically when the operating system requests reduced motion.
  • No content that flashes, and no time limits on reading or interaction.

3. Known limitations

We are honest about the areas we are still improving:

  • Some third-party embedded content, such as video players, is not fully under our control and may not meet Level AA in every respect.
  • A small number of older PDF case studies are not tagged for screen readers. We provide an accessible HTML or plain-text alternative on request.
  • Complex data visualisations in downloadable reports are supplemented by data tables rather than being fully described in text.

4. Assistive technologies we test with

Our most recent review covered NVDA with Firefox on Windows, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS, TalkBack with Chrome on Android, keyboard-only navigation, Windows High Contrast mode and 400% browser zoom.

5. Reporting a problem

If you encounter a barrier, please tell us. Email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Include the page address and a short description of the problem and the technology you were using.

We acknowledge reports within two working days and aim to resolve confirmed issues within 20 working days. Where a fix will take longer, we will offer the information in an alternative format in the meantime.

6. Enforcement

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in relation to accessible services. If you are unhappy with how we have responded to your report, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.

7. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 1 July 2026 following an internal audit of the whole website using automated testing, manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and a review against each WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criterion. It is reviewed annually.
